•• THE PUSSYWARMERS ••
Cosmically bound to their Hungarian ladyfriend Réka, spasmodically accompanied on their travels by unpredictable trumpeters,
The Pussywarmers – originally from the Mediterranean district of Switzerland – have spread their credo all over the Continent.
Indeed, audiences of all ages have fallen under their spell – a charming and obscure concoction of melodies that stubbornly eludes all attempts at a definition but which – the band’s name says it all! – is leaving ever more gig-goers indefinably warm- hearted.
In the Voodoo Rhythm Family since 2009, with two long playing records of original tunes up their sleeve (the THIRD RELEASE of yet sweeter and groovier numbers is due out in FEBRUARY 2014 on Wild Honey Records!), The Pussywarmers have touched down here, there and pretty much everywhere: weddings and funerals, clubs and pubs, theaters and museums, sailor parties and pirate regattas, busker festivals and ski resorts, stairways, public toilets, vessels and trailers…
Whether you’re now thinking of an intimate acoustic set or a full-blown show, it’s your call!
The Pussywarmers and Réka will be roaming around the Continent in spring 2014, their new record hot off the press!
•• C+C = MAXIGROSS ••
Verdena), IOSONOUNCANE, Grimoon, Samuel Katarro e King of The Opera, Honeybird & the Birdies e moltissimi altri.
•• TAKOMA ••
Inspired by the likes of Michael Hurley, Bob Dylan, J.G Ballard, Takoma formed in 2009, in London (UK).
Singer songwriter Stefano Podda met drummer and multi instrumentalist Nick Rivera at a Smog show, they were overly fascinated by cockney talk and always new weirder Scotch whisky names.
They played house parties and pubs and bathrooms since then, mostly around town with guitar, ukulele, and a roland keyboard they didn’t quite plug in.
6 months after they were touring Europe with Chicago One man band Juffage.
With a heavy DIY drive, By the end of 2012 Takoma had put out 2 indipendent releases.
In 2011 guitarist/vocalist Ettore Menomanni joined in as the band moved to Italy and resume touring.
On stage Takoma sounds crunchy, tense and soulful, with bitter blues guitar riffs and unique vocal harmonies.
The Good Boy album was put out on January 2013 with a very special DIY packaging
in 2014 they made Sardinia their solid home base and the follow up Kereosene Belt comes out as the first label release for HopetoneRecords in October.
