HERE I STAY FESTIVAL is an independent international music festival, which takes place in Sardinia, Italy. The Festival best represents the kind of projects that the cultural association Here I Stay produces here in the Sardinian territory. The goal is to limit the isolation of music in Sardinia as much as possible, creating for a cultural exchange of different realities, some of which aren't often found in other musical events on the island.
The HERE I STAY FESTIVAL, now in its 14th edition, has become one of the most anticipated and appreciated musical events of the summer in Sardinia; it’s a boutique festival made with passion, a great party where you can listen to good music, meet new people, discover an unconventional Sardinia, relax or dance non-stop, in a location surrounded by art and nature.
A full immersion experience of live music with Sardinian, Italian and international bands, DJ sets and art exhibitions, great food and good vibes.
It's a unique opportunity for music lovers, for those who are not satisfied with the "usual" and who are open to making new musical discoveries.

HERE I STAY FESTIVAL will be July 5-6-7, 2024 in the beautiful park and panoramic terrace of the Nivola Museum (Orani, NU), in the heart of Sardinia. This location will be joined by other picturesque places in Orani that will host the EXTRA FEST collateral events.

The Nivola Museum in Orani is a cultural institution dedicated to Costantino Nivola, among the best-known and most polyhedral Sardinian artists of the 20th century.
Active between Orani, Milan, New York and Long Island, he worked in graphic design, mural painting, sculpture and public art.
The Nivola Museum hosts a permanent collection that includes over two hundred of his sculptures, paintings and drawings and it is much more than an exhibition space: it is an “open” place that for years has been giving voice to the different languages of contemporaneity, ranging from the arts to landscape, from architecture to graphics.
Created in 1995, it is located in a panoramic position overlooking the town and the mountains.
The location is the old washhouse, a place which Nivola was particularly fond of, a symbol of the traditional community life of the town. Outside is a paved panoramic courtyard and the natural spring Su Cantaru.
The beautiful structure is surrounded by a park with a monumental fountain, the construction of which is based on a drawing by the Orani-born artist.
The Nivola Museum, with its park and panoramic terrace, will be the main location of the Here I Stay Festival, to which will be added other picturesque places next door that will host the collateral EXTRA FEST events.
Il Museo Nivola di Orani è un'istituzione culturale dedicata a Costantino Nivola, tra i più noti e poliedrici artisti sardi del XX secolo. Attivo tra Orani, Milano, New York e Long Island si è occupato di grafica, pittura murale, scultura e arte pubblica.
Il Museo ospita una collezione permanente che comprende oltre duecento sue opere tra sculture, dipinti, disegni, ma è molto più di uno spazio espositivo: è un luogo “aperto” che da anni dà voce ai diversi linguaggi della contemporaneità spaziando dalle arti al paesaggio, dall’architettura alla grafica.
Creato nel 1995, si trova in una posizione panoramica che domina la città e le montagne.
La sede è l'antico lavatoio, un luogo a cui Nivola era particolarmente affezionato, simbolo della tradizionale vita comunitaria del paese. All'esterno si trova un cortile panoramico pavimentato e la sorgente naturale Su Cantaru.
Gli edifici del museo sono circondati da un parco che ospita una fontana monumentale, realizzata su disegno dell'artista oranese.
Il Museo Nivola, con il suo parco e la sua terrazza panoramica, sarà la location principale di Here I Stay Festival, a cui si aggiungeranno altri luoghi suggestivi adiacenti che ospiteranno gli eventi collaterali dell’EXTRA FEST.
This section offers all the practical information, regulations and our advice for fully enjoying the HERE I STAY FESTIVAL.
For reasons of security, the personnel responsible will carry out checks at the entrance.
We therefore invite you to follow these rules and recommendations in order to render the entrance procedure as smooth as possible and make the festival experience a pleasure for everyone.
It is forbidden to bring in glass, cans, thermos and disposable plastic bottles. This is not only for safety reasons; the festival area is plastic free. Free drinking water will be available inside the festival area.
It is forbidden to bring in alcohol.
It is forbidden to bring in any blunt instruments or any objects destined for unauthorised sale.
No open fires or flames may be lit in the tent area and no BBQ plates may be brought in.
For safety reasons, tents, sleeping bags, camping chairs, etc. cannot be entered into the festival area. To get from the ticket office to the tent area, you will have to follow the indicated path.
At the entrance, the authorised personnel will provide you with an identity bracelet for the festival. This must be work for the entire duration of the festival: you will not be allowed to access the area without it.
If you want to enter the tent area, you will need to wear another specific wristband: ask for it at the ticket office when you arrive. It will be given to you along with the festival wristband.
Minors can only enter if accompanied by an adult. Make sure you bring earmuffs or earplugs to protect the hearing of younger children!
Strobe lights, crowds and volume could be a source of discomfort for some people, especially the children. We encourage you to make use of the decompression/relaxation area designated within the festival. Please ask the festival staff for more information.
Dogs can enter only if on a lead. However, for their well-being the high volume of the music and the general bustle are not recommended. We rely on your common sense in this case. Make use of the quieter areas where you can enjoy the festival while limiting any distress for your dog.
The HERE I STAY FESTIVAL accepts no responsibility for any objects that are lost or stolen, or for any damage to persons or things.

Upon your arrival at the festival, approach the Ticket Office where you will be given a wristband for entry to the concert area and one, if required, specifically for the tent area. The wristband is water and tear resistant. Be careful not to lose it, as it will not be possible to get a new one.
Children up to the age of 14 enter free of charge. Please be prepared to provide evidence of their age with an identity document. Kids over the age of 14 are allowed with the purchase of regular admission ticket, accompanied by an adult.
Admission for residents of Orani is free, thanks to the collaboration with the municipality. An ID card proving residency will be required at the ticket office. For all those who would like to contribute a free offering, a special donation box will be set up at the ticket office.
Safety is important at the HERE I STAY FESTIVAL. The organisers are committed to protecting the safety of spectators, bands and staff.
In the event of weather conditions that pose a threat to the participants, the organisers reserve the right to cancel either select performances or the entire festival, even without prior notice, in order to guarantee everyone’s safety. All of these cases come under the category of “force majeure” and do not qualify for any ticket refunds

BY TRAIN AND BUS
The nearest station is in Macomer (42 km away!). There is also a train stop at Cagliari Elmas airport. The public bus network also provides a connection to Orani. However, getting to Orani by public transport can be challenging: central Sardinia is not well connected by transport. This feature, on the one hand, has helped to preserve the authenticity of the center of the island; on the other hand, it can make travel complicated.
However, we encourage you to consider getting to the festival by public transportation: to get info on schedules and routes, enter the destination "Orani" on GoogleMaps and select the "Public transportation" option.

Our partner Sardinia Ferries, with its #navigialle, links the mainland to Sardinia via the Livorno - Golfo Aranci route.

BY PLANE
The three main airports in Sardinia are: Cagliari (Elmas), Olbia Costa Smeralda and Alghero, and they connect the island with a wide range of domestic and international flights.
If you arrive in Sardinia by plane and want to get to Here I Stay Festival by public transportation, follow the advice above in the "By Train and Bus" section.
If, instead, you prefer to move around independently by car (recommended option), you'll find various car rental providers at the airports. We recommend booking your car in advance due to the high demand during the summer season. Non si possono introdurre vetro, borracce, lattine e bottiglie in plastica monouso. Oltre che per questioni di sicurezza, l’area festival è plastic free. All’interno dell’area festival sarà possibile fruire di acqua potabile gratuita.
Non si possono introdurre alcolici.
Non si può introdurre alcun oggetto contundente o destinato alla vendita non autorizzata in nessuna delle aree del Festival.
Nell’area tende non si possono accendere fuochi e fiamme libere e non si possono introdurre piastre per il BBQ.
Per motivi di sicurezza, nell’area festival non si può accedere con tende, sacchi a pelo, sedie da campeggio ecc. Per giungere dalla biglietteria all’area tende, si dovrà seguire il percorso indicato.
In biglietteria il personale autorizzato ti inviterà a indossare il braccialetto identificativo del festival. Devi indossarlo per tutta la durata del festival: senza il braccialetto l’accesso all’area è negato.
Se vorrai accedere all’area tende, dovrai avere al polso un altro braccialetto specifico: richiedilo in biglietteria al tuo arrivo. Ti verrà consegnato assieme al braccialetto identificativo del festival.
L’ingresso ai minori è consentito solo se accompagnati. Assicurati di portare con te cuffie o tappi per tutelare l’udito deə più piccolə.
Luci stroboscopiche, folla e volumi potrebbero essere fonte di disagio e malessere per alcune persone, specie ə bambinə. Invitiamo a servirti della zona di decompressione/relax adibita all’interno del festival. Chiedi maggiori informazioni allo staff del festival.
L’ingresso ai cani è consentito solo se al guinzaglio. Tuttavia, i volumi alti e la confusione non sono raccomandati per il loro benessere. Al tuo arrivo al festival, avvicinati in Biglietteria dove ti verrà consegnato il braccialetto per l'ingresso all'area concerti e quello, se richiesto, specifico per l'area tende. Il braccialetto è resistente all’acqua e agli strappi. Fai attenzione a non perderlo, perché non sarà possibile averne uno nuovo.
L’ingresso per i bambini fino a 14 anni è gratuito. L’età deve essere dimostrabile tramite un documento d’identità. L’accesso a ragazzə di età superiore ai 14 anni è consentito con l’acquisto di regolare biglietto d’ingresso, sempre che siano accompagnati.
L’ingresso per ə residenti a Orani è gratuito, grazie alla collaborazione con il Comune. In biglietteria sarà richiesto un documento d’identità che attesti la residenza. Per tuttə coloro che vorranno contribuire con un’offerta libera, sarà predisposta un’apposita cassetta delle offerte in biglietteria.
La sicurezza a HERE I STAY FESTIVAL è la nostra priorità: l’organizzazione si impegna a preservare l’incolumità di pubblico, band e staff.
In caso di condizioni climatiche che rappresentino un pericolo per i partecipanti l’organizzazione si riserva la possibilità di annullare alcune esibizioni o l’intero festival, anche senza preavviso, al fine di garantire la sicurezza di tuttə. Questa caratteristica da una parte ha contribuito a conservare l’autenticità del centro dell’isola, dall’altra può rendere gli spostamenti complicati.

The HERE I STAY FESTIVAL has been eco-sustainable before the term was even invented. We have always believed in respecting the areas that over the years have hosted us and protecting nature has always been our priority.
In addition to a number of traditional initiatives, this year we are presenting a few new features in the spirit of constant improvement.
The HERE I STAY FESTIVAL was the first music festival in Sardinia, and one of the first in Italy, to have introduced reusable cups in 2011.
With reusable cups we reduce the waste produced during the Festival by 80%. As well as providing important benefits from an environmental point of view, this also leads to savings on the cost of cleaning up.
We use durable, safe and recyclable cups that are toxin free. The cup is delivered for a symbolic fee of 1€. You can rinse your glass before each use, using the water jugs in the bar area.
This year the cup will be given added value thanks to the collaboration with an artist.
Also for this edition, we have planned to cooperate with Alberea, which will help us to plant the number of trees necessary to compensate the Co2 emissions produced for the bands' air travel. It is our contribution to reduce the environmental impact for the realization of the Festival.
At the HERE I STAY FESTIVAL, waste separation is compulsory. In all the areas you will find bins for throwing away the different types of waste, as well as ashtrays scattered throughout the location. It doesn’t take much to make a difference; help us to keep the location clean!
Since the 11th edition we have introduced the use of compostable plates and cutlery for serving food to bands, staff and public members. Even the drink straws are compostable. Together with the plates and cutlery, they are to be disposed of in the organic waste bins that you will find throughout the Festival area.
We live on an island where there is no lack of good produce. From meat to vegetables, to bread brought directly from the baker, for the food offered at the Festival we rely on local partners who use local produce. The commitment is also to further vary the offerings by adding excellent vegetarian and vegan options.
By choosing local produce, environmental impact is reduced and there are also benefits for the local economy.
We promote car-pooling as a form of sustainable mobility that is perfect for getting to the HERE I STAY FESTIVAL. As well as reducing CO2 emissions, sharing your car with other people allows you to also save on fuel costs.
If you don’t have a car, or you do and you’re looking for travel companions, you can use the BlaBlaCar car-pooling service, which is also an excellent way to meet new people to have a chat with and make the journey more pleasant.
The merchandising stand at the HERE I STAY FESTIVAL also offers pocket ashtrays. If you don’t want to leave the front row to throw away your cigarette butt in one of the ashtrays found in the Festival area, you can get yourself a HERE I STAY pocket ashtray. It can be reused for a whole range of other occasions, on the beach or at the next concert.
HERE I STAY FESTIVAL è un evento eco-sostenibile fin da tempi non sospetti: abbiamo sempre creduto nel rispetto degli spazi che in questi anni ci hanno ospitato e salvaguardarne la natura è sempre stata una nostra priorità.
Ad alcune iniziative consolidate abbiamo aggiunto quest’anno alcune novità, con l’obiettivo di fare sempre meglio.
HERE I STAY FESTIVAL è stato il primo festival musicale in Sardegna, e uno dei primi in Italia, ad aver introdotto (nel 2011) i bicchieri riutilizzabili.
Con i bicchieri riutilizzabili riduciamo dell’80% i rifiuti prodotti durante il Festival: oltre ai grandi benefici dal punto di vista ambientale, risparmiamo anche sui costi di pulizia.
Utilizziamo bicchieri resistenti, sicuri e riciclabili, privi di sostanze nocive. Il bicchiere viene consegnato dietro pagamento di una cifra simbolica di 1€. È possibile sciacquare il proprio bicchiere prima di ogni uso, utilizzando i boccioni d’acqua presenti nell’area bar.
Quest’anno al bicchiere sarà dato un valore aggiunto grazie alla collaborazione con un artista.
Anche per quest’edizione abbiamo previsto la collaborazione con Alberea che ci consentirà di piantumare il numero di alberi necessari a compensare le emissioni di Co2 prodotte per i viaggi in aereo delle band. È il nostro contributo per ridurre l’impatto ambientale per la realizzazione del Festival.
A HERE I STAY FESTIVAL la raccolta differenziata è d’obbligo: in tutta l’area troverai i bidoni per il conferimento dei diversi rifiuti, compresi i posacenere disseminati in tutta l’area festival. Basta poco per fare la differenza: aiutaci a mantenere la location pulita!
Dall’XI edizione abbiamo introdotto l’uso di piatti e posate compostabili per la somministrazione del cibo a staff, band e pubblico. Anche le cannucce dei drink sono compostabili: assieme alle altre stoviglie vanno conferite nei bidoni dell’organico che troverai disseminati nell’area Festival.
Viviamo in un’isola in cui i prodotti alimentari buoni non mancano. Se non vuoi lasciare la prima fila per buttare la cicca della sigaretta in uno dei posacenere disposti nell’area Festival, puoi munirti di posacenere tascabile marchiato HERE I STAY. Lo potrai poi riutilizzare in tante altre occasioni, in spiaggia o ai prossimi concerti.
